Gaynstead Family,
Welcome to another exciting school year at Gaynstead High School! I am looking forward to welcoming our new and returning students.
It is a privilege to be a part of a community where parents, teachers, and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic success and social growth. Although this school year is starting much differently than the norm, I am excited to get to know our students and form positive and supportive relationships with them. We have an amazing staff that is guided on the principle of doing what is best for students. We consider ourselves a family, and we are excited to welcome you into the Gaynstead family.
We eagerly anticipate the full reopening of our school and encourage our students to get vaccinated. Our continued commitment to fostering resilience, perseverance, grit, empathy, and the ability to communicate effectively in diverse learning partnerships will undoubtedly help our students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Dear Gaynstead Family,
I extend to you a very warm welcome to Gaynstead High School! It is a privilege for me to work with our students, staff, families and other stakeholders to make our school the very best it can be. Our aim is to create a safe, nurturing yet challenging environment that is built on positive relationships while developing the whole student – emotionally, socially and academically.
We provide an appealing and stimulating curriculum that is flexible and tailored to the needs of each student as we strive for high educational outcomes and personal bests for all of our students.
Our caring and passionate teachers ensure our students grow in confidence and develop the skills for the rapidly changing, 21st century living. Our mission statement reflects this commitment to “provide world class education through excellence in teaching and learning that ensures success for all while producing citizens who are integral in the development of the country.”
We want each of our students to leave school with the values of reverence for God, perseverance, respect, integrity, discipline, teamwork, commitment and excellence underpinning all that they do. Our students develop responsibility for their own behaviour and the choices they make, and also a communal responsibility to assist their peers to do the same.
Gaynstead High School is a friendly, vibrant, family-oriented school, whose decisions always put our students first. We are very keen to involve our community in our learning, developing true partnerships that value each student. There are many opportunities for parental and community involvement.
